The client should know where he is now and what to do next.
At the bank or service center, clear information can prevent route confusion. The display and kiosk should be a guide for entering, waiting, calling and referring to the right destination.

Why is this application important?
Part of the questions of the visitors is not about the service itself; They want to know where to start, what documents to bring and which counter to go to. The importance of digital signage in such an environment is to help understand the way to receive the service. This goal should be determined before choosing the advertising content and installation location.
Displaying queue information alone does not increase service capacity. The expected effect should be precise: is the path clearer, the call better understood, or the wrong reference reduced? If the waiting time is displayed, the source and validity of the estimate should be known to the user.
From idea to usable implementation
See the entrance, waiting room and counter separately
At the entrance, the service selection guide and starting route are useful. In the waiting room, the related situation and the way of calling are important. Next to the counter, short information about the same step can be helpful. Playing a long message at all these points ignores the different needs of the client.
The call should be understandable in several ways
Show the number and destination of the call legibly and in a fixed order. If the scenario includes audio, the text and audio must point to the same destination. Color should not be the only way to identify a situation. For kiosks, check the size of touch targets, return path and help access with real users.
Separate public information from personal information
The general display must show the authorized information of the same space. In the service introduction, publish the approved and valid text of the collection and get the change of conditions from the responsible authority. Content design, destination selection and operator access control should be part of deployment evaluation.
Scenario: Referral for a frequent service
At the entrance, visitors see the service-selection path. In the waiting area, the call method and destinations are clear. When a number is called, the number and counter appear in a consistent structure. If another step is required, its information appears at the right point and the help route remains available.
Design a question for each point
| Point | The client’s question | Content response |
|---|---|---|
| Input | Where do I start for this service? | Short guide and related route |
| Waiting | How do I recognize the call? | Readable display and explanation of reference method |
| Next to the counter | What is the next step? | Same step information and help path |
How to evaluate the result?
Use the center’s agreed method to record recurring wayfinding questions, visits to the wrong counter and missed calls. When comparing results, also consider visitor volume and staff capacity. This evaluation is intended to improve route information and must not be treated as a measure of the bank’s operational capacity.
This scenario in SignagePlus
In SignagePlus, evaluate queue management and voice calling, route guidance and diffusion control based on the center’s actual process. For the bank and the organization, security review, access range and deployment model should be done along with the design of the reference experience.
Common questions
Is the advertising content in the waiting room enough?
It is better to satisfy the client’s information needs first. Service introduction content can be placed next to it, with a priority that does not obscure the call and guidance.
Should the display and kiosk be evaluated separately?
Yes. Reading from a distance and tactile interaction are two different experiences. Review the scenario, installation location, and how to access help for each.
