SignagePlus setup and commissioning guide
This guide organizes preparation and handover for a SignagePlus deployment. Start with the destinations and hosting model, then validate one complete content-to-playback path in a pilot. Installers, connection settings and permissions must match the project’s versions and environment. Credentials and private management addresses do not belong in public documentation.
Prepare environment and access
Register a destination and pilot
Verify and document the handover
A practical workflow
Select hosting and endpoints
Define cloud or on-premise hosting and the player, display, sign and audio equipment. Obtain the applicable release through the deployment team’s approved distribution route.
Complete one end-to-end setup
Register a device with a location-based name in the appropriate workspace, assign sample content and a channel, and inspect playback at the actual destination.
Record results and ownership
Hand over versions, destinations, schedules, data connections and support ownership. Identify every unperformed check and remaining limitation.
How it is used
Network and device identity
Verify authorized service access, naming, clock and time zone. Device registration tokens and credentials are private and should not appear in public screenshots or guides.
Content, schedules and disconnection
Test a sample file, a content change and schedule boundaries. Evaluate disconnected operation for the actual player and content type; a static image test does not establish web-content behaviour.
Data sources and APIs
For REST, files or organizational data, document the data contract, owner, access and refresh interval. Successful rendering should also mean current data and only the information permitted for display.
Monitoring and troubleshooting
Start with the last reliable state: power and network, device registration, content assignment and playback. For speakers, distinguish audio registration from probe outcomes; for VMS, also check format and protocol limits.
Deployment scope
This page does not replace platform-specific installation instructions or private organizational configuration. Document the player release, audio connection, VMS protocol and authorized APIs for the actual deployment. Emergency capabilities also require separate activation and verification.
Questions for your evaluation
What belongs in a minimum acceptance test?
Verify registration, correct content delivery, schedule changes, role restrictions, connectivity recovery and status follow-up on the actual project configuration. Record observed outcomes.
What can be published openly?
Concepts, workflows and examples without confidential data can be public. Credentials, tokens, private management addresses, customer data and security configuration should remain in restricted documentation.

Evaluate your actual scenario
Share your endpoints, content types and network conditions so the demonstration can address your operational requirements.
